There are two semesters (15 weeks in each) in one academic year when classes are held on Sundays between 1:30-4:30pm. An academic year typically starts on the first Sunday after Labor Day. Please visit the Calendar page for specific dates. LISOC has reasonable tuition rates. Besides, there is a $10 tuition discount if a family sends more than one child to our school.  Teachers at LISOC are carefully selected from a large pool of applicants. They are competent in teaching and caring for the students. In addition, our school adopts 揝tandard Chinese?as the textbook. 揝tandard Chinese? consisting of 9 volumes, are prepared by the Institute of Chinese Textbooks and published by the well-known People's Education Press specifically for children who would like to learn Chinese in America and Canada. According to the feedback we received from students and teachers, they love the textbook because of its content and presentation.

 LISOC is registered in the New York State as a non-for-profit organization. Our school is established and run "By the parents and for the parents". Therefore, we invite more volunteers to join us so that LISOC will become bigger, better and stronger.
